As my relationship with Grenache grows rich with time, the necessity to capture a perfect angle in small volume becomes imperative. In some years it may be one parcel, a barrel blend or a specific site but this year it was a collective of two places. The Habermann and Small Fry family vineyards blended together made the perfect weave of what I believe is Barossa at its best. Structure, depth, purity, perfume, solid expression and seamlessness. 67% Habermann and 33% Smallfry back block vineyard fused together to sit above the rest and wear the crown.
