I vowed to never make rose. So when I finally decided to, I wanted to give you wine instead. My process is a very individual one, and sometimes it even overrides me. Through the past couple of years of making wine, I have realised that I’m okay with more meaning better, especially when it comes to rose. This wine was inspired by some incredibly opulent examples that I have seen out of France, where I was pulled into the glass and the texture was like liquid foie gras. The name ‘POWERS’ comes from my grandmother Virginia’s lineage, nine strong women who all carved their own path, bold, fearless and powerful. So this is me, breaking off a piece of the power they bestowed upon me by blood and releasing it back into the world.
