On the nose this wine is true to the grape, cut grass, jalapeño, yellow pitted fruits and flint. Being only a few kilometres from the sea, the salty tones meet with the soil’s limestone minerality, giving the wine length and energy. The shape of the wine on the palate is curvy and oily which compliments the intense aromas and softens the liquid hard edges. There is a balance to this drop that was achieved in multiple picks and considered winemaking, it’s not an easy variety to work with but I’m proud of the results.
